This external pavement designed and built for Fonterra by Conslab is constructed in a 270mm thick Post Tensioned pavement in bays up to 85m long.

Handling stacked 40' containers with Hysters with 90 tonne axle loading this is a heavily loaded pavement. There are constant container movements between the store and the rail siding.

Cast during winter in the Waikato Conslab took precautions to protect against early thermal cracking on a long slab cast on lovely warm days but going through cold nights.
